Neill Will Adapt Fast
John Heitinga expects the defender to adjust quickly to life in Turkey.
John Heitinga expects Lucas Neill to adjust quickly to life in Turkey.
The Australian is set to head to Galatasaray after this weekend’s Premier League match at Manchester City after the Istanbul outfit agreed a deal with Everton for the versatile defender.
The move will see Neill bring to an end his four month stint at Goodison Park.
Heitinga and Neill have been playing together in central defence in recent weeks and the Dutchman has enjoyed their partnership.
"Lucas is a good player," Heitinga told evertonTV. “He is a player with a lot of experience. I have played well with him during his time here."
Neill, 31, will link up with compatriot Harry Kewell - and Heitinga reckons he'll adapt straight away.
"Lucas is a player who fits in quickly wherever he goes and he will fit in at Galatasaray," continued the former Ajax man.
"He is a player with a lot of experience so that helps. He can also play in more than one position so it will be good for their squad."

Neil MartinCan i just ask why is he going? He has been doing well helping us out while we have injuries. Was it always planned to be a short term thing? Anyway whatever the reason I would like to thank Lucas for his brief spell with us and wish him good luck for the future!
