Neill Shock At Switch
Lucas Neill has admitted to being surprised at his move to Galatasaray.
The Australian captain, who joined Everton on a free transfer as a free agent in September, will join the Turkish side after the Blues' weekend fixture with Manchester City.
Neill, who has been sold for an undisclosed fee, also thanked everyone connected with the Toffees.
"The move has come as a surprise to me," he said.
"I'd like to thank the staff and fans but most of all my team-mates for making my time at Everton very enjoyable. I am pleased to have had a positive impact on the team and the club and wish them every success for the future."
The player is technically available for Everton's Premier League match against Manchester City at Goodison Park on Saturday evening and will then jet out to Turkey to meet his new team-mates.
Neill, who made his debut during the Carling Cup success at Hull City in September, has made 15 appearances for Everton, three of them from the bench has signed a an 18-month contract with Galatasaray.
