Mustafi To Sign

Mustafi To Sign

Everton have reached a pre-contract agreement for German defender Shkodran Mustafi.

The teenager will officially join the club on 1 July, having previously been at Bundesliga side Hamburg.

The Toffees will pay no transfer fee for the Germany Under-17 international, but FIFA training compensation will be applicable.

The highly-rated centre-half will sign a three-year contract with the Toffees and will link up with the Blues' reserve squad when pre-season commences in July.

Mustafi will be under the tutelage of former centre halves Andy Holden and Alan Stubbs when he joins the reserve team squad.

David GrundyWelcome to the People's Club Shkodran. You have made a very good choice. Jol resigned today, so there wasn't much of a future at Hamburg. You are joining a Club on the up. We generate good young talent and you will be playing alongside the likes of Rodwell, Gosling, Baxter et al. I hope you and Jack develop into an outstanding pair of centre backs. Much like Lescott and Jagielka, in fact. We look forward to your imminent arrival and a long and succesful career at Everton FC

David JohnstonI spoke to some Leeds fans who are in our village on holiday. Seems Mr. Beckfords has inflated opinions of how good he is and they feel he is a disruptive influence on the team and fans.
