MOYES RELISHES PRESSURE

MOYES RELISHES PRESSURE

David Moyes insists Everton are relishing the pressure of the Anfield derby.

All the talk this week has been about the game and it's potential impact on the race for fourth place.

But rather than feel pressurised by the scenario, Moyes says he is enjoying every moment of the lead-up to the game.

"It is great," he told evertonfc.com. "It means we are in with a shout and we would have taken this position at the start of the season; two points behind Liverpool.

"It is a healthy position we are in and we will do everything we can to try and win the game."

Moyes knows the match will be key in deciding which side will finish in the final Champions League spot, but the manager is keen to point out that there will still be six more games after Sunday's clash.

"I think you could be correct to say this could be a fourth place decider," he admitted. "But let's not forget there are games after that.

"If we won the game I don't think you would turn around and say 'that is Everton in fourth'.

"You might do that if Liverpool won it, but there are a lot of games after that.

"We have got tough games but so has everybody," continued Moyes. "We have got to make sure we keep the teams behind us away and try and catch the teams above us. The first team above us is Liverpool."
