David Moyes is delighted to have completed the signing of Yakubu from Middlesbrough.

The Club record £11.25m deal was concluded on Wednesday afternoon following a successful appeal for a work permit in Sheffield.

Yakubu has signed a five year deal and is available to join the Everton squad for Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Bolton at The Reebok Stadium.

He adds to the manager's selection options up front, joining former record-signing Andrew Johnson, Scotland international James McFadden and youngsters Victor Anichebe and James Vaughan.

Moyes told evertonfc.com: "He has a very good goalscoring record in the Premier League and he also offers strength and power. We hope he continues his good scoring record with us.

"We have some good strikers in our squad already and he adds further depth and quality to our squad."
