90 mins +2 - With the designated injury time elapsed, Leon Osman
fires the ball into the net with his left foot, much to the delight
of Moyes, who dances on the Goodison pitch.
90 mins - As we enter injury time, the Blues who have the vast
majority of the possession, pile forward, but are frustrated by a
resolute Pompey rearguard.
74 mins - Moyes brings Bent and Kilbane on for Campbell and
McFadden as he seeks to mastermind another win.
63 mins - Osman goes close for David Moyes' men, but his shot
is scuffed narrowly wide.
53 mins - Everton are unlucky not to take the lead when Leon
Osman's shot is headed downwards by Cahill. The ball bounces up
viciously and rebounds off the turf and over the bar.
47 mins - Kamara fires a shot into the side netting as the
visitors' begin brightly.
46 mins - The second half gets underway, with the Everton attacking
the Gwladys Street End.
45 mins - Kamara goes close with a rasping effort from 25 yards,
which sails narrowly over the crossbar. But Everton go close just
before the interval, only to be denied by some last-gasp Pompey
defending.
31 mins - Only 60 seconds later, Pompey equalise through Yakubu who
cuts in from the left, holds off the challenge of Joseph Yobo and
slams a shot into the top corner from inside the box.
30 mins - Thomas Gravsen's corner is floated in from the right
and Alan Stubbs rises above the Portsmouth defence to head home his
first Goodison goal as an Everton player.
20 mins - Everton are denied a stonewall penalty when Arjan De
Zeeuw handles McFadden's goalbound effort. The defender
collapses in a heap and that is enough to fool referee Walton.
18 mins - Richard Wright is almost surprised by Berger's long
range effort, but palms the ball away to safety.
15 mins - Leon Osman shoots over from distance in what has been a
turgid encounter at Goodison.
7 mins - McFadden almost plays in Campbell, but the striker's
shot is blocked by the legs of a Portsmouth defender.
6 min - James McFadden embarks on a similar run, beating several
Pompey players in the process, but no one is on hand to meet his
cross.
4 min - Diomansy Kamara runs with the ball for 50 yards before
placing a tame shot which Wright saves comfortably.
1 min - After a period of silence for the Tsunami victims, the game
gets underway at Goodison Park.
