MAKE EURO THE NORM

Tony Hibbert wants European football to become the norm at Everton.
The Toffees are back in the Uefa Cup for 2008/09 after a dramatic run in the same competition last season.
And Hibbert admits the players have developed a taste for the European stage.
He told evertonTV: "We’ve had it and we don’t want to give it up. The whole tour is just a big get together and the players love it.
"It’s all a learning curve and hopefully it will get better next season."
Local lad Hibbert knows it isn't just the players who enjoy playing in Europe!
"The lads have bonded and it’s been a great season for the lads," he acknowledged. "But hopefully we can do better next year and get some trophies.
"My dad’s been on every one of them (away trips) and he’s had a good time with his mates!"
Hibbert, who is yet to score a senior goal, also has plenty of admiration for the Blues' leading scorer Yakubu.
He added: "When we bought Yak we knew he would score goals because that’s what he had been doing for every team he’s played for.
"He’s just a goal scorer."

John CoadyIts only right that we should expect to play in Europe. We need to invest big style in quality players though to be able to sustain ourselves at the level required. The fans have gone without for so long now and with the prospect of success being not too far away, the excitement and anticipation is tangible all round. Come on Moyesy lad no more bargain basement shopping. We would love Arshavin but i think we have well and truly missed the boat on that one.

Jake Wilsonive never been hibbos biggest fan but the way he showed profesionlism against man city when petrov was kicking lumps out of him i thought that was a great side of a shy player

Peter WilliamsThink everyone wants Europe to be a regular thing. I believe if we had turned up in Italy we would have won the cup so thre's no reason to think we cant do it this season. Also Ive been a big fan of Hibs for years, always plays well and seems to be very under rated. Keep up the good work
