Current form goes out the window when it comes to Derby day and you can bet that both teams will raise their games on Sunday.
A win for Everton would lift the spirits of every Evertonian and heap more gloom on Liverpool, Paddy Power are going 23/10 that Everton are the team celebrating a win on Sunday afternoon. Liverpool come into the game with a lot of pressure on their backs and players not fully fit, this could be the ideal time for Everton to turn the city blue.

In this game last season Fernando Torres got both goals, but he’s not played in recent games for Liverpool and is a doubt still for Sunday. Birmingham showed that Liverpool shouldn’t be feared if you can take your chances, and Everton have just the man to put Liverpool to the sword with Louis Saha. Eight goals in his last ten games makes him the obvious choice to get the first goal - he’s 6/1 to do that and 14/1 to repeat Torres’ exploits of last season and score 2 or more.
Tim Cahill hasn’t been in the goals this season but he’s a player that will have everyone fired up for this game. He loves the Derby so Paddy Power have gone best price on him scoring first at 9/1.

Dan Gosling was the hero in the late, late show against Liverpool last season. Scoring the winner in extra time in the FA Cup clash made Everton 1-0 winners. It’s that kind of resilience that Everton need to draw on this Sunday. It looks unlikely there will be more than 3 goals so if your backing Everton to win this look no further than a 2-1 home win, Paddy Power pays 9/1 on that scoreline and 17/2 on another 1-0.
Correct Score
13/2 Everton 1-0
