Let's Capitalise
David Moyes wants to capitalise on "topsy turvy" Premier League.
Everton boss David Moyes has urged his players to capitalise on the "topsy turvy" nature of the Premier League.
The Blues boss welcomes Chelsea to Goodison Park on Monday night knowing Luiz Felipe Scolari's side are unbeaten on the road this season.
But the Scot believes the visitors have dropped points against sides many would have expected them to beat - a trend baffling teams up and down the league.
"Chelsea has always been a hard game for us and for anybody, especially as away from home they have a better record than at home," Moyes said in an exclusive interview with evertonTV.
"They have dropped points this season, which perhaps they wouldn't have done in season's gone by. But the Premier League is like that this season. It's been a little bit topsy turvy with things not always going to plan. Let's hope that can be a source of optimism."
Moyes is also well aware of the valuable boost three points against Chelsea could bring.
Middlesbrough and Sunderland lie in wait over what could prove an important festive period.
"All games are important and who knows what the most important period will prove to be?" said Moyes. "But at Christmas time the games come thick and fast and for us to have three games in six days is a tough programme."
Meanwhile the Goodison chief revealed his delight on hearing of the Club's record turnover for the 2007/08 campaign, praising those responsible for the day-to-day running of the Club.
"It's been a well-run Club ever since I arrived," he continued. "The board have done very well to make profit, which is not an easy thing in the Premier League."
