LADIES EYE MORE SUCCESS
Rachel Unitt is determined to reach the FA Women's Cup Final.
Everton Ladies defender Rachel Unitt says the Blues are determined to reach the FA Women’s Cup Final.
Leeds United stand in the way of the Toffees making a second cup final appearance of the season on Sunday at Southport’s Haig Avenue, kick-off 3pm.
Following the League Cup triumph over Arsenal last month, Unitt is hungry to add more silverware to the trophy cabinet.
"After beating Arsenal we've seen a real boost to our confidence and hopefully that can be a factor for us,” said the England international.
“We have one trophy, and we'd really like to make it another if we can.
"We've always wanted to challenge for trophies and now we know we're good enough to succeed, I think the first step is always the toughest one but we've made it and hopefully we can really build on that.”
Despite beating Leeds earlier this season, Unitt insists the Blues face a tough challenge to reach the final.
She continued: "Leeds are strong side and they are very similar to us in a number of ways.
"They have a lot of really good young players, and you get that sense that they are building for future.
"Like us they'll be looking to challenge Arsenal in the League and also the Cup competitions.
"They have also become our bogey side in recent seasons with some of the results we've had against them, but we'll that out of our minds and hopefully get the result and make it into the Final."
Apart from long-term absentees Rachel Brown and Fern Whelan, Mo Marley has a fully fit squad to choose from.
