JOHNSON SIGNS IN
Everton have today officially completed the record £8.6 million signing of striker Andrew Johnson from Crystal Palace.
The 25-year-old England international revealed over the weekend that he had opted for a move to Goodison Park after earlier interest from both Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic.
Johnson completed the formalities of his medical examination in the past 24 hours at Bellefield and has put pen-to-paper on a deal that will keep him on Merseyside until 2011.
He exclusively told evertonfc.com: "I am looking forward to giving 110 per cent in every game I play in and hopefully I can score goals for Everton."
The former Birmingham City player signed his contract at Manchester's Lowry Hotel where he is currently with the England squad preparing for the friendly against Hungary.
Johnson is on England's stand-by list for the World Cup but he will be given permission to leave the squad on Wednesday to attend a media conference at Goodison where he will be officially unveiled as an Everton player at 3pm
