Jo To Give Chelsea The Blues?
Find out what odds Paddy Power are offering on Wednesday's game.
Everton fans will be hoping Brazilian hitman Jo can mark his return to the team by breaking the deadlock when the Blues travel to Chelsea on Wednesday.
Both teams emerged victorious from their respective semi-finals against tough opposition and will now contest the FA Cup final at Wembley.
In a pre-cursor to that match and in a strange quirk of the fixture calendar, the two sides meet on Wednesday night in an immediate showdown to earn bragging rights up until the showcase occasion on May 30.
Everton look to have secured entry to the Uefa Europa League next season but will want to keep their good form going right through to the season's finale.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are still battling to progress to the Champions League final and remain in the mix for the Premier League title. For their league ambitions, at least, this match remains vital.
And while Chelsea are formidable at home, and in good form, Everton will look to the battling qualities shown on Sunday and the fact that they themselves have only lost once in the last twelve games.
Their price of 7/1 to win at Stamford Bridge looks surely worth a flutter for Toffees fans’ and even the draw at 3/1 is very backable when considering the goalless draw at Goodison back in December.
7/1 Everton win
4/9 Chelsea win
Have a bet on the Blues to also win the FA Cup final meeting with Chelsea. Everton are currently 13/8 to bring the trophy back to Goodison.
Everton have achieved remarkable things this year, especially in light of their cruel spate of injuries.
Nowhere has the effect been more felt than upfront, where they have lost players such as Yakubu and Victor Anichebe long term.
Tim Cahill has played his part in leading the line on occasions and grabbing vital goals from midfield and Louis Saha, when fit, has shown flashes of skill and finishing quality.
However, David Moyes has been in need of a consistent frontman and having reportedly tracked him prior to his move to Manchester City, he is pleased to have the Brazilian Jo available again.
Jo has already managed four league goals and at 10/1 to grab the first of the game on Wednesday you may just fancy a bet.
It was a tight affair against United on Sunday and it will probably be tight again against Chelsea. A draw half time and Everton full time result could be worth a wager at an attractive 14/1.
