Everton manager David Moyes has made three changes to the starting line-up with both enforced, due to the suspension of midfielder Tim Cahill and Joseph Yobo out until the New Year with a hamstring problem.
John Heitinga does return to the starting line-up though, as does striker Louis Saha with the Blues look to extend their unbeaten league run of three games at Stamford Bridge.
Tim Howard plays in goal and captains the side, with a back four of Tony Hibbert, centre-back's Heitinga and Lucas Neill and Leighton Baines at left-back.
Jack Rodwell, - making his 50th appearance for the Blues - Marouane Fellaini, Steven Pienaar, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov complete the midfield, with Jo and Saha in attack.
