David Moyes believes the thrilling 3-1 victory over Tottenham on Tuesday night is the equal to last season's success.
The 2-1 win at White Hart Lane 12 months ago was Everton's first at Tottenham in the league for 21 years - and was welcomed joyously by Evertonians everywhere.
A year on, though, and Moyes' men repeated the outcome. It may not have been a win that ended a long-standing hoodoo this time around, but the manager rates the performance just as highly.
Goals from Joleon Lescott, Leon Osman and Alan Stubbs in the opening half secured the points.
Moyes told evertonTV: "We had a great performace here last year and I think tonight's has matched that.
"The back four did well because this is a tough place. You have to keep your discipline and concentration. I also think there was an outstanding save from Tim Howard in the second half that, had they scored, could have changed the game. But after that we went down the other end and possibly should have got a fourth goal."
Moyes was delighted with the input of goalscorer Osman.
He added: "Leon is one of these boys that sometimes goes unnoticed but as you can see, we pick him most weeks because we know what he is capable of. Last season was a disappointing one because he normally scores goal but he started this season on a high.
"There is (also) a lot more to Andrew Johnson's game than scoring goals. That is why we wanted him when we took him because we knew that if the goals weren't coming he would still be an all round team player. He had three or four attempts tonight and another night, he would have scored. But in the last five or 10 minutes we left Andy on his own to make sure we got the result and the boys did that. But he still kept working and I think there were signs tonight he is getting sharper and back to his best."

Great stuff. Great all round performance. Would like to single out Leon for a super effort and such a good start to the season. Nice to see him turning up in the box with the energy to finish! (Tim Cahill's main role!) Keep it up!

giving competition to our own playing is proving a god send, hence Osman's excellent last 2 performances. Get another striker to boost the front two, and we will be on our way!

Due to work commitments in London today , I ended up having dinner in a pub full of subdued Spurs' fans - what a great night!! To top it all, a colleague in the office is a Spurs' fan and coming to work was a treat.
