Final Allocation Announced

Everton to receive allocation of 25,109 tickets for FA Cup final.

Final Allocation Announced

Everton officials have been informed by representatives of the Football Association and Wembley that the Club will receive an allocation of 25,109 tickets for the FA Cup final.

The Blues qualified for the season-closing showpiece by beating Manchester United in Sunday's semi-final - a game for which the Club received just over 32,000 tickets.

Tickets for the final will be priced in four categories: £93, £78.30, £58.65 and £34.30.

Supporters should note that the majority of the tickets will fall in the £78.30 and £58.65 categories, although there will be tickets available within all the categories.

Officials from the Club have held preliminary discussions and will meet again on Friday to discuss the allocation. A further announcement will then be made early next week.

"We are obviously disappointed at the number of tickets we have received despite the fact we were anticipating a smaller amount than for the semi-final," said Everton chief executive Robert Elstone. "The challenge for us now is to make sure that these tickets are distributed fairly amongst the Everton fanbase.

"We have already had some discussions internally and these will continue on Friday. Once formalised we will make an announcement through the appropriate channels and that is expected to be next week at the latest."

It has also been confirmed that Everton will don their famous royal blue for the game against Chelsea on May 30. The outfield players will wear blue shirts, white shorts and white socks. The goalkeeper will wear a sky blue shirt, black shorts and black socks.

Everton supporters will be located in the east side of the stadium - the opposite end to which they were situated for the semi-final.

David ClarkIn my opinion, season ticket holders deserve the allocated tickets from the club. I make a 250 mile round trip to GP but can't make every game with my son. Thus, I have no chance of final tickets from the club - not complaining one bit as I think the club have done the right thing. However, there is hope as I have just registered on the official Wembley stadium site and bought two tickets for the final. These are corporate tickets and very expensive (you have to pay £50 just to register) but I've waited a long time for this so it's money well spent as far as I'm concerned. If you are able to afford it, there are more tickets to be had - lets turn the corporate section Royal Blue and get the whole stadium rocking. http://www.wembleystadium.com/mywembley

neil clemowI've been a blue since I can remember. Unfortuantly I live in cornwall and work most weekends. I can hardly ever make the games. It doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone else. It would be great if everyone could get a ticket, surely the fairest way to allocate them would be... everyone who wants a tick applys for one, then it works on a lucky dip. Like i said I can hardly ever make the games because of work, but like anyone who supports the blues I really want a ticket and would be willing to lose a days pay to see this great club moment, it doesn't happen very often for us now does it.

Gareth DavesAccording to Sime we have around 24,500 st holders with an allocation of 25,109. Don't forget people that out of this allocation the players wives and family will also get tickets. Barry Edwardsthe club have been allocated just over 25,000 and it has been mentioned that there are 27000 ST holders. None of this is the clubs fault but elstone MUST think about how he is going to allocate the tickets fairly and should be open and honest with who gets what. I'm sure our club also has it's share of sponsors who will be entitled to tickets etc. it sounds simple to me how to allocate tickets. those season ticket holders who have been to the most away and home cup games get first dibs and then on a sliding scale. they are the ones who have supported the team the most THIS season so they deserve them. Simple.

Simon OrlansEvery year the same old stories about allocation, it will not change this year, next year or any year simple as that. Dave GeorgeI would just like to add that as much as i would like to see every evertonain get a ticket for the final i can only disagree with the comment in regards to season ticket holders paying more per season than non season ticket holders. If i miss 2 or 3 games a season due to work i will still pay more per ticket than someone with a season ticket as there is a reduction when bought as a season ticket as opposed to individual match tickets. I've been a blue all my life and up until recently did have a season ticket which i had to give up due to work commitments. The FA need to realise that they are not only destroying the fa cup but football as a whole and need to sort themselves out. Without the fans there would be no football!!

K DI see and hear comments stating that we should consider boycotting. This allocation is a disgrace and shows the true face of the F.A. I would like the F.A to make a statement as to how they arrived at making that decision, which, given that Chelsea will get a very similar allocation, leaves the best part of 40,000 tickets to the "whats off side?" brigade. I would like to see a representative from every area where we have a fan club, to request a meeting with a face of the F.A through Everton football club, to hear them explain this "joke" to our real football fans, who work hard for a living to watch the blues. Rightly or wrongly, I think the idea of boycotting wembley for the final is a good one, and is something that needs to be seriously considered through representatives of our countrywide fan base. A boycott would result in a huge financial loss to the F.A considering the majority of our allocation appears to be in the upper price band. A less than half full wembley would bring the F.A to its knees in embarrassment, and they would HAVE to learn by it, and begin to allocate tickets in line with whats sensible, and certainly not in favour of the "gravy train" captaines. YOU are a disgrace the F.A

Ged HughesNot surprising but disappointing with Club Wembley and the FA being the FA - don't need to elucidate what those two letters really stand for! Not sure what numbers of season ticket holders we have ... some say 23,000, some 25,000, but it has to be that season ticket holders have priority - not fair to all but fair to the majority of true blues. Hopefully the allocation should mean that all season ticket holders would be catered for but if there are not enough tickets then 'full' should take proirity over 'half' ones. The semi final allocation system, whilst not ideal in some respects, was fair and reflected loyalty.

Paul CunninghamTo all those moaning about season ticket holders getting priority, shut up! We pay hundred of pounds before a ball is even kicked. No, it doesn't mean that we're "better" supporters than anyone else, but the club have to prioritise somehow. And to be fair to them, it must be a difficult decision to make. I went to all the home Cup games this season (inc. UEFA), so fingers crossed I can get a ticket. But even then I'm not sure - I'm wondering how many more the club will keep for themselves this time, and there are all the people who go to the away games. I don't mind these fans having priority over me though, it is only fair. I just hope the club don't do anything stupid and give in to all the "I can only get to 2 games a season so give me a ticket" fans having a whinge!! Every year each club in the final moans about the allocation, but nothing is done and nothing will be done by the FA about it, they don't care.

Daniel WilliamsLittle over 25,000 ticket allocation is an insult. How can the FA justify allocating around 40,000 seats to corporate. Why should Everton and Chelsea, as well as any other teams who make it through to the final, suffer because of the drastic overspending on Wembley? Our 'national stadium' should be filled with passionate supporters cheering their teams, not corporate tickets. The FA needs to stop putting money and profits before the actual game of football. They should be trying to get access for as many true supporters as possible!

richard kelsall What can I say other than the FA have really surpassed themselves this time. In 1995 we were given 26000 tickets for the old stadium that held 80000. This time we have even fewer tickets in a bigger stadium. The FA must surely know that the result will be fans paying over the odds to touts for the very seats that were allocated to the "Club Wembley" cronies.

Cathy CondronAre Everton getting the £93 & £78 tickets? This is even more outrageous! The only thing i would say, if you pay more you are obviously nearer the pitch. We ended up getting the cheaper tickets for the Semis and if we had sat any further up the stadium, id have been on a flight to see the family in 'Auz. The stadium holds near on 90,000 and for me the old Wembley was much better. You were never as far away from the pitch as you are now. 8th row from the back and it was like watching a game of subbuteo! The atmosphere made it for us so i hope we do get better seats even though it will cost alot for three of us to go! Price you pay for glory.....will be worth it! C O U B!

Phil Lloydthink that the club have it spot on when they give it to season ticket holders first and in descending order of how many away/cup ticket stubs you have as they are the fans who make the biggest financial commitment. But this doesnt mean that we are bigger or better supporters than those that cant make it for whatever reason, and think we should all stop bickering amongst ourselves and start badgering the authorities who decide we should have more tickets for a semi than for a final.COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve CarthyThe FA are managing to alienate fellow Blues from each other. The who should and who shouldn't get tickets arguement is dividing us all. The FA has to be held accountable for its outdated way of allocating tickets. Why are we getting the majority of £93 & £78 pound tickets ? So the Fa can give the "cheaper" seats as Complimentary & get more revenue from regular fans. How many are Everton going to hold back ? The club should reward are hard core fans who have travelled far and wide this season with the club with first choice for tickets. But please don't forget the fans who have paid for the 09/10 season tickets 5 months in advance. This money will be used to strengthen our squad during the summer. Lets hope the club can allocate the tickets sensibly. This is a time for enjoying the build up to one of the greatest sport events we have but I am nervous as hell and just hoping that as a season ticket holder I can get a ticket.

Take you back to Roy Keanes comments years ago about the "Prawn Sandwich" crowd. We have a stadium in this country, supposedly the best and if true football supporters cant go and support their team, whats the point! The men in suits want to get their act together and think about the people who support their club through thick and thin, paying good money to sit in the "rafters" as we did last Sunday. Not for people who get tickets for free and have the best seats in the stadium! Everton and Chelsea should boycott the game and make a stand for future years. This cannot happen! Adam ParsonsFirstly, I agree with the point that season ticket holders should get priority. That's a no brainer! I also agree that the allocation to both clubs is too small, and the FA should be reminded that this would lessen the atmosphere were The Blue Army not attending! But having read the comments I must say that the anti-non-season ticket holder sentiment, on our website, doesn't help our club. It breaks many an Evertonian's heart not be be able to attend every home game! Furthermore, we are a top four team, with a top four manager, a top top history, and a top 15 squad...solely because it's too small. That is symptomatic of the fact that everything we do is dealing in smaller numbers than the top four. If we want top players, we currently have to have fewer of them. We have a great Management Board now trying to tackle issues like getting a bigger stadium, and increasing brand awareness abroad, all to increase these numbers, but bottom line is fan-base and fan-spend has to grow....and that means outside of season-ticket holding catchment area. Our club has a long tradition in being insular looking and resistent to change, the people's club of the city, and that must and will forever remain as our core strength, indeed even commercially it's becoming our unique selling point - sorry that sounds more like a consultant than a fan - but it's true. I've been in Thailand for three months - coming home on the off-chance of being able to afford a ticket to the final - and it has struck me how much money LFC and Man Utd must generate from this part of the world...and Chang is Thailand's biggest brewery! We must address this wider issue, and that starts with all of us accepting that we have to grow, that means fan base aswell. We can do it without having our identity or culture threatened, and its corporates more than new fans that threaten our stadium seat. I think the big question is - can we do anything to get as many of the 40,000 other tickets into the hands of genuine Evertonian's? I don't care where WE come from, or even if WE live close enough to Goodison or can afford a season ticket, I just want Wembley full of true Evertonians on 30th - it's going to be our day!! robin pricei think its a disgrace. the fa are presumably giving the other 40000 seats to corporates, exectives other premiership players etc etc that therfore means they are only selling 50000 tickets (everton fans and chlsea fans) so the reason the tickets are so expensive for us is because they are making up for lost money! We are paying for the fa to give free tickets out! its disusting and they are the same people who want touting banned so that fans "don't pay over the odds"- thats a lie, they want fans to pay over the odds, obviously, only the fa want the money and dont want tit to go to someone else. Im a season ticket holder so i will be going but it is a shame for the other blues who cant because of the fa's inability to treat fans with any decency or respect.

Ian BartonTh FA could have built a 120,000 seater and avoided these problems by allocating tickets equal to the average gate up to a ceiling of say 50,000 they would still have had sufficient left for corporate. I would like to hear them explain to my father who has had a season ticket for 45 years, or myself with over 20 years, why we cannot have a ticket if we are not allocated one.

Thursday 23rd April 18:10 Report Comment

PAUL NAVARROhopefully the club wil allocate the tickets the same way they did the semi final., look after your most loyal fans first,,we are the ones who spend most, home and away all season,,

Thursday 23rd April 18:04 Report Comment

John EvansAlan.. behave yourself. Just coz your a season ticket holder does that give you the right over a season ticket holder who goes all the away games? No way! Some people will moan for moanings sake. Yes, its not fair that we only got 25K but its not the clubs fault. And Chelsea get the same so lets just all deal with it and enjoy the occasion. COYBB!!!

Thursday 23rd April 18:03 Report Comment

John EvansAs always Everton have it spot on with allocations, Season Tickets Holders with away stubbs a priority, that way the hardened fans get to go and not just season ticket holders who dont go anywhere.. only fair!

Thursday 23rd April 18:01 Report Comment

John GerrardEven though I didn't go the Semi, I would like the fans who went against ManU to have first option. I say this because they were brilliant. COYB

Thursday 23rd April 17:56 Report Comment

Michael ThomsonJust to say the comment about "glory hunters" is wrong. Im not saying that Season Ticket holders shouldn't get priority but there are genuine Everton supporters that would love the chance to go to Wembley to get behind their team not just for the glory of it!

Thursday 23rd April 17:56 Report Comment

Judy PerryI think it is digusting the number of tickets that have been allocated for the final. Every fan should complain to the FA about this and until every fan does this will carry on year on year. Why should tickets be allocated to people who don't support the club, it beats me.

Thursday 23rd April 17:54 Report Comment

Sarah HalpinI think it's disgraceful how so may loyal Evertonians who have waited 14 years to see Everton in a cup final are not going to get the chance to go to the game, and there will be all those thousands of people there who couldn't care less what the score even is! Both myself, my sister and my dad have been everton season ticket holders for years now, and who knows whether we'll even manage to get tickets, and the same goes for so many evertonians. its awful!

Thursday 23rd April 17:36 Report Comment

Alan BurtonIve heard we have 27000 season ticket holders so who's missing out its a joke.

Thursday 23rd April 17:24 Report Comment

James YoxallLast year 20,000 tickets went to County FAs, this is an outdated traditon that should have been scrapped years. 17,000 went to club wembley. I've no doubt there will be well over 30,000 blues in there on the day.

Thursday 23rd April 17:16 Report Comment

Reuben LeachSHOCKING... The FA should have made sure that we both clubs were given enough tickets to ensure that everyone who attended the Semi Final matches was guaranteed a ticket.

Thursday 23rd April 17:15 Report Comment

Lesley Leechelsea have the same allocation

Thursday 23rd April 17:03 Report Comment

Lesley LeeSeason Ticket holders should certainly have first choice. This i think is the fair and only way to allocate the tickets, I have had my season Ticket for 10 years and am worried i may not get a ticket. Loyal Fans who watch all season every season not just the glory hunters or the 40,000 extras who are just after day out

Thursday 23rd April 16:58 Report Comment

Andrea Morralldisgraceful. everyone who was luck enough to buy a ticket for the semi-final should be offered the oppoprtunity to buy a ticket for the final. It's not right that almost half of the tickets are available to people who don't support either club week in or week out! hope Chelsea get the same amount of tickets as us

Thursday 23rd April 16:53 Report Comment

James BowmanThink theres bout 25,000 Tom. Every season ticket holder should get 1 hopefully. 93 quid for a ticket!!!! where r them seats? in the dugout!!

Thursday 23rd April 16:48 Report Comment

Martin KidmanI think we got about 25,000 season ticket holders

Thursday 23rd April 16:45 Report Comment

ANDREW BANKSabsolute joke hope chelsea don't get anymore. FA Cup final tickets should be for fans of both clubs not bigwigs looking for a nice day out who have no interest in the game. When will tickets be available.

Thursday 23rd April 16:42 Report Comment

Luke WolahanThats a disgrace! Tickets going to non everton or chelsea fans but for corporate people, sort it out!!

Thursday 23rd April 16:37 Report Comment

Thursday 23rd April 16:29 Report Comment

Paula McdonaldHow can the FA justify 40,000 final tickets to corporate enterprise. It's disgusting.
