Fellaini Starts
Marouane Fellaini returns to the Everton side to face Hull City today.
David Moyes' decision to replace Victor Anichebe with the Belgian midfielder means that the Blues will start with no recognised striker in the starting XI - a line-up that has proven successful in recent weeks with Tim Cahill leading the line in impressive fashion.
Fellaini currently has nine bookings, and one more in today's game would mean the Club's record signing will miss the two forthcoming clashes against city rivals Liverpool.
After playing in a more familiar midfield role against Macclesfield in the FA Cup, Cahill resumes his role as a makeshift striker against Phil Brown's side.
The back four remains unchanged in the continued absence of Joseph Yobo, with Joleon Lescott partnering Phil Jagielka in the centre of the defence.
Mikel Arteta, who is making his 150th appearance for Everton today, starts in the centre of the park alongside skipper Phil Neville, with Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar completing the midfield with Fellaini.
Meanwhile, Segundo Castillo has recovered from a hamstring injury that has kept him out in recent weeks and returns to the bench.
The visitors name Nick Barmby in their starting XI, with the former Everton man likely to receive a frosty reception at Goodison.
Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Lescott, Baines, Neville, Jagielka, Osman, Arteta, Pienaar, Fellaini, Cahill.
Subs: Nash, vd Meyde, Castillo, Rodwell, Jutkiewicz, Anichebe, Gosling.
