Marouane Fellaini will miss both of the upcoming games with Liverpool.
The Belgian was cautioned in the second half of Everton's game against Hull City on Saturday.
Referee Martin Atkinson was an unpopular figure at Goodison as he showed Fellaini the yellow card just after the break, seemingly indicating a series of offences.
He will now miss the league game at Anfield on January 19 and the FA Cup fourth round game six days later.
Fellaini had already scored Everton's first goal in the game with a header after 18 minutes.

Fellaini needs to get his hair cut, he atsnds out like a sore thunmb. So much so that everything he does sticks in the mind of the official. If he looked like the rest he may get treated like the rest and some things overlooked.

It might be a blessing in disguise because the poor lad has been the target of referees. He probably would be sent off in the first half of the league game against the reds by another ref misreading a fair challenge. Bring on Castllo.

Shame fellaini is missing out but im sure whoever is brought in will fill the gap. feel we need astriker thats not injury prone. dont understand why we dont try and sign kris boyd from rangers for 3 million and at 20,000 a week is nothing and hes always garentees goals thats who i would be looking at is i was moyes dont think bent or jo would be good signings from their form this season but moyes can work his magic but just wait and see what happens COYB

Jack Rodwell is a suitable replacement for Fellaini. Cometh the man cometh the hour.

To be honest I think Fellani was lucky to still be on the field after his elbowing at the corner. But anyway we are still EFC and if we do not need strikers i am sure we can fill in for Screech?

I am realy disapointed for Fellaini i feel it was a very harsh on him and not justified we will certainly miss him as he is an asset to our team

I first thought Moyes was wrong for letting Felli play in the second half. Bu reading his comments on this site, i have to agree with him about the importance of ensuring the three points. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. I guess thats why its the Shrewd Scott managing Everton and not me.

Marouane i think played better after he was booked, it may be a blow that he misses the games with the rednoses but i would rather have him back for the arsenal and united games because the way we are playing now we will bet the reds anyway.
