American team FC Revolution have won the prestigious Jacksonville Tournament – thanks to the Everton Way.

The side, based in Reading, Pennsylvania, won the under 15’s 11v11 tournament, which is held in Florida.

The Revs joined Everton’s online player development programme in November 2007 and already the Blues’ coaching methods are proving their worth in silverware.

The under 15s side have moved significantly up the rankings table as a result of the victory. The team are now ranked 3rd in Eastern Pennsylvania and 21st in the entire nation.

Head coach for The Revs, Eric Puls said: “The lads were already doing well, but now they’ve taken it to another level.

“This proven Premier League development programme gives us the edge over our competitors and ensures our players are developing at the highest level possible.”

A cool 3-0 defeat over Eclipse Select 92-93 from Chicago sealed the win and handed victory to The Revs.
