Everton To Sign Arnoux

Blues to add American striker to squad subject to FA ratification.

Everton To Sign Arnoux

Everton will complete the signing of Cody Arnoux, subject to the formalities of the transfer being ratified by the Football Association.

The American arrives on Merseyside on a one-year contract having played for the Carolina Dynamo in his homeland.

Arnoux is a forward player who recorded 13 goals in 16 games for the Dynamo in the fourth tier of football in the USA. He has also played for America's Under-18 side and was the star at his university, Wake Forest.

Arnoux, 21, will join up with Andy Holden and Alan Stubbs' reserve squad in preparation for the new season.

patrick fennerWell said Jamie, IMWT. Defour would be nice but we do have a bit of a glut going forward from midfield we have not replaced Lee and it is imperative we do, but who? To suggest Lee Carsley you might as well go the whole hog and bring back Dacourt. Pity we didn't go for Tymoshchuk 14m euros appears cheap now

Mohamed HumaiziIf DM ever saw posts of ppl suggesting this player or that player, or see some whiners who have been playing too much Football Manager, I think he will gladly take a step back and hand over his post to you so call Everton fans. I wouldnt mind if there will be no new players coming in. I wouldnt mind if Lescott wants to go 'seeking greener pastures'. I wouldnt mind if the best 11 players are schookids. As long Everton is a club, i will be its number 1 fan. Period.

Jamie O'BrienWayne, Wayne, Wayne! I do take your point but we arer supposed to be challenging for top four and Jack, whist is very very promising is one for the future. We need one for now who is proven at the next level! We never replaced Carsley who fitted the bill at that time. We also need a right back. Fill those 2 positions and I will be happy! IMWT COYB

Jamie O'BrienWe need a defensive midfielder desperately. Someone with a bit of fight in them who can boss a game and get stuck in! Never thought i would say it.......Joey Barton?

Greg MossFolks, we haven't got any money, and it doesn't grow on trees. BK said it himself, we need a billionaire. The banks have said we are not under pressure to sell, yet if we want to sign some good players then we do have to sell. This is why Moyes is looking at the young talent. All of our signings so far have been on the cheap, and most with an eye for the future. When you don't have money to spend then you work on youth, and focus on building them up to the first team. I hate to say it but if we sell Lescott for the 22mil or whatever is being touted then we can sign the player/s we've been linked with. Remember what happened when we sold Rooney? All the players we brought in? We could do the same again. Until then everyone buy a lotto ticket and we can all pitch in to support our club ;)

Declan Ryanwhy are we spending the little money we have on people who are only joining the reserve squad!? in my opinion we need LEE CARSLEY back! theres no1 else like him,and if the is we need to buy him! JONATHAN SPECTOR from west ham,he really impressed me in the confederations cup! or even JULIEN FAUBERT from west ham too,two good right backs, spector i think being the more defencively gifted of the two,and i still think DECO for 6 million is a must with arteta still out!!

Mark Deeveytypical frustrating everton, we take to long over every player and then they end up going somewere else, naughton, defour, delph and god knows anyone else we dont know about, get ur act together everton and have some ambition, we should be building on last season and buying players like sneijder who are available, were going backwards and as usual all premiere teams are spending more!!!

Tuesday 4th August 18:16 Report Comment

Scott MarshI agree , Steven Defour is the kind of player we need and also a right back to cover hibbo, i would like to see Alan Smith from Newcastle as he can play centre mid and striker and he wouldnt cost the earth but lets hope Moyes brings in a quality player and good luck Cody welcome to Everton FC . jack seerywe have signed peterlin now this arnoux guy. who are they ? what do they bring to a club like us .. i dont know at the moment.. will they just be reserve team players ? Senderous is a player im not sure about and will have to make up my mind in the season. yobo the yak pienaar maybe anichebe will be of in january to african cup of nations aswell another problem that will occur. we are linked with players like defour mountnio etc and never actually come near to signing. delph looks like he is going to villa another decent player we wont sign. elm is a bad player but isnt a proven player yet. we need to sign players who are reconised now to build forward and also players with potential... poulsen from juventus is a good buy £4m ? still need r.b l.b cover two midfielders one with flair and one who can tackle and dominate the midfield and lead by example.

Peter FearnsWho? Nice to see all of these signings tied up nice and early in the closed season. I don't know how we keep hold of David Moyes, I really don't. It's a testament to his loyalty and professionalism that he bothers with us.

Tuesday 4th August 16:24 Report Comment

matthew duttonThe thing that makes me mad is when at the end of last season there was a statement saying that this season we would get new signings in early so they bed in pls for the love of god do it we have 3 of our best players injured with no one with the same calibre linked give Moyes what he needs he is amazing and where would we be without him.

Tuesday 4th August 15:19 Report Comment

jonathan randlesSteven defour is the type of player we need we cannot afford to talk about signing people like this then give other teams the time to walz in give them a medical and agree terms within a day. why oh why do we always take so long to agree deals. I agree we need squad player but we need to have a player like defour another quality right back and a proper scary defensive midfielder thats the three quality signings we needs, plus another 3-4 squad players

Dave ParryWelcome to Everton Cody!!! Good luck and take any chance that presents itself to you!

Steven ForemanPLz buy Defour after this one and Phillipe Senderos. Dont sell Lescott as he plays a vital role in defence since Jagielka is out till October.

Tuesday 4th August 14:02 Report Comment

Brian McCallionThe fact Mr Moyes obvioulsy see's something he likes in the lad says a lot. Is definetely worth taking the opportunity. The manager hasn't done bad up to now with signings to say the least.

Ross KeeleyNo harm sticking him in the reserves for a year and seeing how he gets on

Tuesday 4th August 13:46 Report Comment

Stuart Brazilljust wanna say i am starting to see a trend here now moyes has been buying players from the lower leagues from the uk for a while and now every other premier league team is in on the act too pushing prices up which doesnt show good value, so he is now looking for talent in lower leagues in other country's thats probably part of the reason for the US pre-season tour, we have a genius as a manager!!!!!
