Everton To Sign Saha

Everton To Sign Saha

Everton have agreed a deal to sign Louis Saha from Manchester United.

The Frenchman is set to sign a two-year deal - with the option for a third year - with the Blues for an undisclosed fee.

The move will be completed subject to a medical.

Saha has also played for Newcastle United and Fulham in England and Metz in France.

He has notched 42 goals in his 124 appearances for United, having scored 53 times in 117 appearances for the Cottagers.

The striker has 18 French caps and has scored four times - appearing in the World Cup in 2006.

Saha - Everton's third summer signing - will join other new arrivals Lars Jacobsen and Segundo Castillo at Goodison.

dharamvijay badhanGamble but could pay of if he stays injury free! He aint a long term signing but could help bring on Vaughny & Vic with his experience. Come on BK lets sign Moutinho because each season we have been linked with a big name players ie.Lucho Gonzalez and failed to get them, it isnt doing our rep any faviours. Although i prefer young hungry players that want to play for us and improve as individuals and as a team. We want Moutinho.!!!!!!!!!!!!

David BuchananAt last moyes is a getting a new striker. since the departure of andy johnson.hopefully u will bring in a qualtiy player before the window closes

Friday 29th August 14:07 Report Comment

stephen hendersonwell im a little disapointed to be honest hes hardly kicked a ball for 2 years but i was disapointed when we signed p.neville and hes been a great signing so hopefully he gonna come good. 3 players in if weve genuine faith in our kids rodwell, gosling, baxter then stump up the cash for MOUTINHO or ARSHAVIN or get ready for a long difficult season

Friday 29th August 14:06 Report Comment

Richard leonAt last a semi quality player makes you think United not exactly full of out and out strikers why would they let him go. Seen Saha miss sooooooo many chances for united he aint gonna get any where near the same amount of chances he gonna have to be clinical in front of goal. I still gotta say i dont think any of the 3 guys we signed would have been first choice signings Jacobsen on a free did no one else want him and catillo 1 season loan is this progress this aint little league......

Friday 29th August 13:49 Report Comment

Philip BellIf we can keep him fit ... top signing. However I hope the deal to pay Man United for him has been structured around if he plays or not, cos if we have just paid £8-10 mil up front I would say it is a terrible waste of cash.

Friday 29th August 13:35 Report Comment

Ross GoodCan prove to be a good signing so long aste man stays injury free. Needs to prove himself again but has done so in the past. Three more signings needed but quality signings only Moyzie !!

Am I the only one who is disappointed with signing Saha? After last years achievements the debacle of this summer has been like the weather, a damp squib and hugely depressing. Does anyone truly believe he is better than AJ? The one good thing is he has a point to prove.... we still need some serious quality bringing in with pace and definitely height!!! Fingers crossed..........
