Everton Meet Swedish Toffees
Everton have kicked-off their 2009/10 Supporters Club programme with a visit from the Swedish Toffees.
A group of around 30 visitors from the Swedish supporters club, which became affiliated with the Club in 2008, visited Goodison Park for a discussion with a panel of Club representatives on Friday.
The party will also be attending Everton's Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon - one of their many visits to Goodison Park planned for the 2009/10 campaign.
The event, which took place in the Joe Mercer lounge, was compered by Everton's Media & Publications manager Darren Griffiths, who was joined on the panel by the Club's Head of Ticketing Andy Ward, Head of Communications Mark Rowan and Blues legend Graeme Sharp.
Sharpy shared a few anecdotes from his career, beginning with his aspirations to become a professional footballer from a young age, and some stories from his international travels with the Scottish national team.
The Swedish supporters were given the opportunity to ask questions of the panel, which included topics such as ticket allocations for the Merseyside derby and the FA Cup, and how Everton's range of media platforms can help provide more content to our international supporters.
The visitors then gathered for photographs and exchanged merchandise with the Club before taking part in the Club's quiz.
