Eusebio's Goodison Return

Legendary Portugal striker is reintroduced to Goodison Park.

Eusebio's Goodison Return

Football legend Eusebio was presented to the Everton crowd before the Blues' clash with Benfica.

The Portuguese star of the 1966 World Cup was returning to Goodison Park - a place which holds major significance as a host ground during the tournament.

He scored nine goals in the competition, six of which were bagged at Goodison.

That included four in a memorable win over North Korea in the quarter final.

He also played against Pele's Brazil in the group stage, scoring twice.

Portugal then lost to would-be champions England in the semi-final.

Eusebio received a rapturous reception when he took to the pitch moments before the Europa League clash.

He received a set of commemorative framed photos depicting his Goodison heroics from Everton skipper Phil Neville.
