John Hau31 ain't too old, with experience they gets better and Distin has been looking after himself and he still looks like he is in great shape, there are alot of example where CB still playing for top team at the age of 35 or above, our good old "Weir" is already an great example, how about "Paolo Maldini" he play for AC Milan till he retire at 41 and I am sure there are other example, so who can says "Distin" couldn't play for us beyond next three years?

Sylvain Distin was Man City's and Pompey's best defender for a couple of seasons. But it's funny how, with cash, everyone who signs for Man City is suddenly 'the best'! I think Distin is a good signing and he can play all along the back line. The only thing that concerns me is his temperament. But Moyes will get the best out of him, if anyone can. Simon ParkesGreat signing for the blues. He is strong, quick and powerful. He has carried an ageing Sol Campbell for years. Very happy with this transfer but we need to quickly get a few more deals in before Tuesday. Lets complete the Benega deal and bring in a right back and right midfielder.

Franny Dysontheres no doubt Distin is a beast but at 31 theres no future in him i would'nt mind if DM goes out and plucks a gem from the championship in his early twenties for cover and bring him in slowly over the next couple of years

Adam LaffoleyI will admit I would have rather seen Steven Taylor, but experience can be an intergral part of the game sometimes and Distain has bags of that. Hopefully we can still get Taylor. Elm has gone to Alkmaar so thats that, looks like he could have been great but alas. Lets hope Defour is on the cards instead. ps Rodwell is looking sharper and sharper brilliant game again tonight.

Dan DickensonI blindly follow Moyes but don't really rate Sylvain Distin but I've been pessimistic about some of Moyes signings in the past and they've proved me wrong e.g. Yakubu and now I rate Yakubu with the best of them. Lets hope this is another of Moyes great buys. COYB!
