Confidence Takes Us Forward
Tim Howard says confidence in the Blues camp is key to having a good run.
Tim Howard says the confidence levels in the Everton dressing room are now the highest they have been all season.
The impressive 2-0 win over Sunderland on Wednesday means the Blues are unbeaten in the Premier League for eight games.
The American keeper believes the superb performances against the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City have come about because the injury curse is beginning to lift.
"Our confidence is probably the highest it has been for a while," Howard told evertonTV. "You look around at the injured players and wonder when are they coming back? Now these guys are training again and are helping to lighten the load.
"Everyone is buzzing so it is no coincidence we are starting to see clean sheets and goals. It gives everyone a lift from the fans to everyone at the training ground and it is going well."
Howard accepts Saturday's FA Cup exit at the hands of Birmingham was a massive disappointment.
But the US international says it was about bouncing back quickly.
"I think going into the game it was important to give a better performance, we owed ourselves that.
"We knew if we could put the result right and put the performance right then things would take care of themselves," Howard continued.
"We got three points so we have managed to get ourselves up the table a little bit and now we can go into Saturday's trip to Wigan with our chests out, which is important."

Andy CorrieWell said Mr Howard Sir. If we beat Wigan then Liverpool, we'll be within three points of them (Liverpool). It's in our hands, march on lads, you're easily good enough to do it and we've got the squad numbers back too, COYB!

Mark LynchWe have proved time and time again that the likes of Chelsea and Untd, we can hold are own with them. So a draw apeice from them 2 games and wins in the other league games in Feb could see us where we belong at the top end of the table.. COYB
Friday 29th January 15:39 Report CommentJohn HauThe form need to continue and I fully expect us to reach 41 points or more before our last 10 league games, it would set us up for a nice and easy run in, and Europe would not be out of the question, we have Wigan, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Spurs and Hull in our next six league games, I would fully expect us to win against Wigan, Liverpool, Spurs & Hull, anything else off Chelsea & Man Utd is a bonus. If we could do that, reaching 64 points or more in our last 10 games, is a real possibility and Europe would comes with it. May this good run of forms continue, and who knows? May be a victory over Chelsea or Man Utd can happen?

DAVE HUNTERReally got to get 3 points against Wigan and get through February as best as we can, Liverpool, Chelsea, United and Spurs are all tough games but a return of 6 points plus would be ok, our run in looks on paper quite easy, so a European place is there for the taking, as long as we play EVERY game like against Arsenal, City and Sunderland

alexis leungFirst thing first, let's get 3 from Wigan. To get back in top 6, 7 we not only have to get as many points as possible. We'll need those above us dropping points too. COYB.

John HauWithout a doubt we are in the best of form at the moment, and since we had such a bad start, I think we should be getting some wins off the teams we are playing in February, we need to prove ourselve by getting win off Man Utd, Chelsea & Liverpool, they are no doubt great team, but not unbeatable and with our current forms we should be aiming for at least 4~5 points from these three matches, if we could get that or more, then I did say a Top 4/5 finish is still possible.
