CARS: I'D HATE TO FACE VIC
Lee Carsley the threat from the bench of Victor Anichebe.
Lee Carsley knows opposition defenders hate to see Victor Anichebe coming off the bench.
Teenage striker Anichebe highlighted his threat when he scored a late goal against SK Brann on Wednesday evening.
The academy product entered the fray with just under 15 minutes left and popped up with the vital second goal in a 2-0 win.
And Carsley admits he would be daunted by the sight of the powerful Nigerian coming onto the pitch.
"The boss is using Victor very cleverly," said Carsley.
"We see him coming on now in the last 20 minutes of games and we are expecting him to score.
"He is so powerful and quick - he is not the sort of player that defenders want to see coming off the bench. I certainly would not want to see him doing that to us!"
Anichebe now has four European goals, each of them after a substitute appearance.

John CarrollBrilliant result. Osman is turning into a super player. The only concern I have is how easily Brann were able to get at our back four. That will have to be fixed before the next round. Let's beat Bayern Munich in the final.

Paul TurnerI think its amazin the way Victor comes on and does that for us! He's only a young lad and to get on the pitch in norway and boss their defense around the way he did is all down to him. All he needs to do now is keep his head down and work hard, if he does keep doing what he's doing he will never be forgotten by everton fans. C.O.Y.B
