CAHILL'S HUGE IMPACT
David Moyes believes Tim Cahill's impact since returning from injury should not be underestimated.
The Aussie midfielder netted two in Saturday's 7-1 hammering of Sunderland at Goodison. It took Cahill's tally for the season to an astounding six goals from six starts.
Everton have now won six and drawn one of their last seven outings and are climbing the Premier League table impressively.
Cahill's part on that resurgence should not be underestimated according to the Goodison chief.
He told evertonfc.com: "Tim underlines what he can give you. We didn't have him for the first couple of months of the season and we missed his goals at crucial moments. He got a crucial second goal against Sunderland that put it beyond doubt at that period."
Everton are now looking at the upper-reaches of the table and wondering about what could happen this term. But despite the scale of Saturday's victory the manager is keeping his feet on the ground.
He continued: "I think somebody could get into the top four. Maybe you could be speaking to the Manchester City manager, the Aston Villa manager or the Blackburn manager or the Portsmouth manager and they will all be saying the same. I said a while ago it would be as hard to break into the top 10 this year as it would the top four because there is big competition to even get into the top half of the league.
"On Saturday we reached high standards where we played very well. We have to now continue to be consistent at that level. We have won quite a few games recently."
