Cahill's Unfinished Business
Tim Cahill is in the Australia squad to face Ireland next week.
Tim Cahill says he wants to play for Everton in the Champions League before thinking of a return to Australia.
Returning home has been something of a trend amongst his peers, with Socceroos Jason Culina and Mile Sterjovski departing Europe to ply their trade in the revitalised A-League.

But Cahill insists he has unfinished business with the Toffees.
"I won't be too soon in coming back to Australia because I need to win things," he said.
"I need to work hard and try and push Everton as far as we can and to try and win some trophies.
"It's hard to put times on things because look what happened with Jason Culina and Mile and a lot of the boys.
"You never know but I'm very ambitious in the fact that I want to play in the Champions League and 29 years old in football terms is very young."
More immediately, Cahill has been named in the Australia squad to face Ireland next week.
The midfielder is in a 22-man party to face the Republic in a friendly in Limerick.
The game takes place on 12 August, just three days before the start of the Premier League season.
Australia qualified for the 2010 World Cup at the start of the summer and this game marks the beginning of their preparations for that tournament.
Squad: Oliver Bozanic, Mark Bresciano, Tim Cahill, Nick Carle, David Carney, Ante Covic, James Holland, Brett Holman, Mile Jedinak, Harry Kewell, Patrick Kisnorbo, Adrian Madaschi, Scott McDonald, Aaron Mooy, Lucas Neill (captain), Jade North, Nikita Rukavytsya, Mark Schwarzer, Matthew Spiranovic, Dario Vidosic, Rhys Williams, Luke Wilkshire.

John CheeversTim plays the game hard and honours the team. What more could you want from a player? I'm lucky to have him in my two favourite teams!

Tuesday 4th August 13:38 Report CommentJames WilkinsonI really hope that everton can reach champs league, however to do this we need to be ACTIVE in the transfer season, we are too quiet and i believe without transfers we are not going to make the champs league, it would help if we had an owner who could afford to give moyes the money he deserves to spend on the players that he wants, come on bill get the cheque book out, we need some money Please. John HauI have nothing against our player playing in a international friendly before the season start, it's always an honour to play for your country, but instead of playing the match three days before the season start, could they consider playing it 5-7 days before the season start, so our player have time to recover from the trip.
