Cahill Doubt For United

Everton may be without Tim Cahill for the trip to Old Trafford.

Cahill Doubt For United

Everton have an injury worry over Tim Cahill ahead of the trip to Manchester United.

And manager David Moyes also suggested that the game may have come too soon for the injured trio of Steven Pienaar, Phil Neville and Leon Osman.

Moyes said he expected to be drawing from the same squad that faced West Ham two weeks ago, with the possible exception of Cahill, who picked up a groin strain while on international duty.

"Tim Cahill has a wee bit of a groin strain and we will need to check it out," said Moyes at Friday's press conference.

"The rest of the international players have come back okay."

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov serves the second of his three match ban and the rest of the Blues' injured parties are still sidelines.

Tim Howard and Jack Rodwell both missed international games with minor problems but both are expected to return.

Everton: Howard, Nash, Hibbert, Neill, Yobo, Distin, Heitinga, Baines, Rodwell, Gosling, Fellaini, Yakubu, Saha, Jo, Baxtrer, Wallace, Agard, Coleman, Duffy.

Steve CliffGreat another injury, let's hope in the transfer market we can get players in who can make a difference to our depleted squad, we need atleast 3 or 4 new midfielders, and maybe another striker then with the injured players coming back we should chllenge for the top 4, so what our red rivals what we're made of, we will in the derby though, COME ON YOU BLUES!!! but today though lets do our best and keep shrek off the score sheet :P

Stewart LoweOk, am i being a bit dizzzy here? I would try Gosling playing just behind Saha. Ive seen this lads control and touch play and he reminds me on Paul Warhurst that used to play for Sheffield Wednesday in the early 90's. He was a defender turned striker that had a ratio of a goal in every 2.5 games. Ignore me if you think thats a bad idea but i think Gosling would flourish as a striker.

Andy FlanaganIm praying cahill returns coz he runs his heart out and thats exactly what you need to beat the mancs. I hope to god we do not give them too much respect coz if you think about it then it is the worst team manu have had since the premier league began. They have fat boy, rio, vidic, van de sar, evra and maybe berbs who are very good. The rest are very poor and we should go full throttle and take advantage of it! COYB!

John HauI hope Cahill would make it back for this match, or at least good enough to be on the bench, I want to see this line-up tomorrow:- Howard, Neill, Yobo, Distin, Baines, Gosling, Rodwell, Heitinga, Jo, Saha & Yakubu. I think Hibbert is making too much mistake his form clearly is low, so I did play Neill instead and Jo should take Billy place on the left. We should be playing 4-4-2 that doesn't mean we can't play defensive, I would expect Saha or Yaks to take turn to come back and help with defensive duty, is no point playing 4-5-1 it would allow Man U to be more offensive if they just have to deal with one striker, we have to pin 3 or 4 of there defender with Saha and Yaks keeping them busy, if we are to get anything from this match the defence and midfield got to deal with Man U attacker without having the strikers coming back helping out. I clearly feel we are in for a surprise this match, Come on lads, we could do it!

brennan finneganWas hoping at least one of the injured players would be back, then seen the Cahill news. Following on from the Ireland exit this is a most depressing period. However football being so unpredictable we may defeat all odds and win there for the first time since 92. Heres hoping

Samuel CollinsAnother injury added to the seeming never ending list, when are our fortunes gunna turn around, gunna miss Cahill and Billy badly, still think we can nick a 1-0 as long as we dont sit back that is. COYB!!!
