Everton officials have urged supporters planning to buy their tickets for the Burnley home clash to purchase as early as possible.
Tickets sales for the festive clash against Owen Coyle's side on Monday December 28 has reached almost 37,500.
Chief Executive Robert Elstone said:"Ticket sales for this fixture have been going very well and obviously the game between Christmas and New Year is traditionally one of the most popular in the calendar.
"We do expect to approach capacity very quickly and would urge any supporter thinking of coming to the game, to buy early."
The return fixture is one that David Moyes' players will be aiming for three points after going down 1-0 at Turf Moor in August.
Louis Saha missed a penalty as the Blues left Lancashire empty-handed and it will be the first time that the two clubs have faced each other since January 1976.
