Blues' Triple Contract Joy

Everton are delighted to announce that three key players have signed long term deals with the Club.

Tim Howard, Phil Jagielka and Joseph Yobo have extended their contracts and David Moyes is understandably elated.

>Pair agree new contracts

"It's great that three valuable members of the squad have committed themselves to the club for a lengthy period," he told evertonfc.com.

"Tim, Phil and Joseph have been big players for us over the last few years and it's great news that they will continue to be so for the foreseeable future."

Howard, Jagielka and Yobo have now joined the vast majority of Moyes' squad in pledging the prime years of their playing careers to Everton.

The manager also reiterated that no players will be sold during the summer and that he will be looking to add to the squad that finished 5th in the Premier League.

"I have been pleased with the way we've gone about our business," he continued. "We spoke to Phil, Tim and Joseph and we got everything done and dusted efficiently and quietly, which is the way we like things to be done."

John HauGreat piece of news, now we just have to get Gosling and Jacobsen sign a new contract, then we are all set to go with getting addition in the summer. We might need a back-up for Jagielka so may be a loan or out-of-contract player could save as money, isn't Matthew Bates out-of-contract? He's only 22 may be he is what our manager is looking for?

chris henrythis is a true testement to the best manager in the english premier league. our best players signing new deals before the window opens. we are a club on the up and we are sure to attract the top names due to our stability. DM has proved himself as the best manager around and other top players will surely now realise how he can help with their development. next season will be as successful, if not more and it wont be long before we are challenging for real honours again. Everton will not be "best of the rest" for long, but we will be deservedly the "BEST"
