Blues To Seek Banega Permit
Officials to state their case to bring Argentine to Goodison Park.
Everton officials will attend a work permit hearing for Argentine midfielder Ever Banega on Friday.
The Club will state their case to bring the 21-year-old Valencia player to Goodison Park.
David Moyes admitted at Wednesday's press conference that a deal for Banega was a possibility.
Banega, who has been capped three times by the Argentine national team, came through the ranks at homeland club Boca Juniors.
He became a regular for Argentine giants when Fernando Gago departed for Real Madrid in 2007, despite being just 18.
His displays earned him a move to Valencia in January 2008, the Spaniards reportedly paying 18 million Euros for his services.
Banega was loaned to Atletico Madrid for the 2008/09 campaign, where he made 24 appearances, playing in both La Liga and the Champions League for Los Colchoneros.
Though a senior international, Banega was part of the Argentina Under-23s squad which won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, having previously helped the Under-20s to World Cup success in 2007.
