Dolly Sagar, the widow of Everton legend Ted, has died at the grand old age of 100.
Mrs Sagar spent her final few years in an Ormskirk nursing home and passed away peacefully on Saturday evening.
Reverend Harry Ross, a trustee of the Everton Former Players' Foundation, had kept in constant touch with the Sagar family over recent years and he always made sure that she wasn't forgotten.
"We always sent her flowers on her birthday and we always kept her informed of what was going on at Everton," he said. "She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her."
She celebrated her 100th birthday in June of this year and was visited by our 1966 FA Cup final hero, Derek Temple.
Ted Sagar played 463 league games for Everton in a career than spanned 24 years and he passed away at the age of 76 in 1986.
