Wembley Ticket Update
Latest update on tickets for the FA Cup final.
Everton officials have confirmed they will give every supporter who has attended a match at Goodison during 2008/09 a chance to obtain a ticket for the FA Cup Final.
The news comes after the Club reviewed the criteria for the allocation of the 25,109 match tickets received from the Football Association.
Chief Executive Robert Elstone said: "We have vented our frustrations publicly about the allocation of tickets received and we would have liked to have been in a position to offer more of our fans the opportunity to purchase.
"The Chairman, and myself alongside other officers at the football club have pursued every avenue possible to boost our allocation even in a small way with the result that having conducted a full review of the applications we are now in a position to confirm Season Ticket holders (STHs) who have been to at least one additional game this season and who applied for a Wembley ticket will now get one.
"Unfortunately the number of tickets meant we are not in a position to guarantee those season ticket holders who have been to no additional matches a ticket but each and everyone who applied will be given a chance, via ballot, of purchasing at a ticket which is a significant improvement on the previous position."
STHs who applied and have attended three or more games (credits) this season have now been allocated a ticket.
STHs who initially applied and have two or one credit(s) will also be guaranteed a ticket, whilst the Club will implement a ballot for those STHs with zero credits.
Please note that only applications that were originally submitted will be considered for tickets and no further applications will be accepted. For the avoidance of doubt, STHs who have applied do not need to take any further action.
The Club asks that STHs do not contact the Fan Centre during this period as this will ultimately slow the process down for all concerned.
The Club will also be entering into the ballot the names of those non-STH fans who have attended all 19 Premier League matches this season along with inviting applications to an additional ballot from any supporter who has been to at least one competitive game at Goodison during 2008/09.
Applications for the additional non-STH ballot will be accepted from any match ticket buyer for Goodison home games during the current campaign, from Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 9am until Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 5pm. Applications can only be submitted using the form below.
Please note non STH who have attended all 19 Premier League games must apply through the non STH ballot.
Mr Elstone added: "Having discussed the Wembley ticketing issue with Bill Kenwright we all felt if we could give as many people as possible a chance of securing a ticket, then that is what we should do.
"The current situation allows us to offer this option to our fans but we would still stress that demand is well in excess of the number of match tickets we possess and unfortunately some fans will end up disappointed."
Official Everton supporters' clubs will also benefit from the recent review in ticket eligibility criteria and will be handed a small allocation of tickets for Wembley.
Supporters' clubs are asked NOT to contact the Fan Centre to apply for tickets as they will be informed direct if they are eligible to purchase ticket(s) subject to the individual Club's purchasing history. Please note this announcement in no way guarantees members of supporters' clubs or individual supporters' clubs a ticket.
