YOBO ON TARGET
Joseph Yobo was again on the scoresheet for Nigeria on Sunday.
The Everton man, captaining his country with Kanu on the bench, scored the only goal in Nigeria's 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea.
Yobo popped up after just five minutes of the World Cup/African Nations qualifier in Malabo.
Earlier this month the Blues' centre-half scored a late winner against Sierra Leone.
Yakubu also played for 90 minutes, while Victor Anichebe was introduced after an hour in place of Peter Odemwingie.
Nigeria's victory leaves them well placed in their quest for both major tournaments in 2010.
Also on Sunday, USA demolised Barbados 8-0 in their first World Cup qualifier. TIm Howard, though, wasn't included as he nurses a lower back strain picked up in training on Friday.
