FA CUP DRAW

The FA Cup third round draw takes place on Sunday afternoon.

Everton will face Oldham Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup.

The Blues will be at home to the League One outfit when the competition resumes in the new year.

The FA Cup third round draw took place on Sunday afternoon and pitted the Toffees against Oldham, who were in the Premier League as recently as 1994.

Everton won both games that season, but last time the sides met in the FA Cup, Oldham prevailed in 1990 after two replays.

Another link between the sides is provided by Blues legend Graeme Sharp, who played and managed for the Latics in the 90s and scored against Everton the last time the sides met.

Now, Oldham are managed by John Sheridan and beat Crewe in round two of the cup.

Third round games will be played on January 5 and 6 next year.

Neil Martini'll take a boring 1-0 win as long as it gets us though. we have 3 cups and a european place to go for. we will have players away on african nations cup. lets just get the job done. i'm sure Oldham will be up for it and we have fell to leser opponents before. keep it tight get an early goal and job done.

Jean BreezeGood draw but no match is an easy match in the FA cup! I'm sure David Moyes will impress that on the team though and they will all be suitably prepared.Come on you Blues, this is your year!
