Bernard Murphy Tribute
Memorial service to take place ahead of Leicester game.
Ahead of Everton's Premier League fixture against Leicester City, Graham Stuart and Club representatives laid a bouquet of flowers at Bernard Murphy's memorial bench outside the King Power Stadium.
Bernard, a lifelong Blue, was tragically killed on his way to the Leicester v Everton match in March 2004 when he was hit by flying debris on Upperton Road, half a mile away from what was then called the Walkers Stadium.
Everton manager Roberto Martinez said: “I am aware of what happened to Bernard Murphy and I would like to offer my condolences to his family and friends as we return to Leicester City for the first time since that tragic day.”
