Roberto Martinez has been praising Ross Barkley's attitude in Sunday’s newspapers.

The England midfielder signed a new four-year contract at Goodison Park earlier this week and Martinez, speaking in the Sunday Express and Sunday Mirror, says the 20-year-old is a ‘down-to-earth boy’ who will remain humble and won’t let fame and riches affect his performances for Everton.

The Mail on Sunday states that Romelu Lukaku will receive a hero’s reception when he is paraded on the Goodison Park pitch at Leon Osman’s testimonial against FC Porto this afternoon.

The Sunday Times and the Observer report on Brendan Galloway’s transfer to Everton after the deal was confirmed yesterday.

Meanwhile, another national paper claims that the Toffees will miss out on Yannick Bolasie after the Crystal Palace winger decided to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park. The Blues, along with Newcastle United, were rumoured to be tracking the 25-year-old.
