Ossie Thanks Thai Fans
Midfielder speaks to the media after landing in Bangkok.
Leon Osman sat alongside Roberto Martinez at a press conference at Bangkok Airport on Friday afternoon and expressed his delight at the enthusiasm for Everton in Thailand.
Osman, who is the captain on the trip in the absence of Phil Jagielka, was part of the Everton travelling party on the last occasion that the team played in Thailand back in 2005 and he said:
“I was lucky enough to be out here nine years ago and I remember the incredible following we had back then.
"That’s continued to this day and we are really grateful to all the fans who follow us in Thailand. Hopefully we can put in a good performance and give them a little back on Sunday.”

Next Saturday will see Everton Football Club celebrate Osman’s wonderful service when Goodison Park welcomes Portuguese outfit FC Porto. No other player has appeared in more Premier League games for the Toffees than the midfielder and he was asked what made the club so special.
“I’d have to say the character of the team and the strength within the unit that we’ve got,” he maintained.
“We are such a tight unit off the pitch and it shows when we go out there. We have that trust in each other that we can get a good result.”
