Martinez: We're Happy To Be Here
Boss looking forward to Leicester game as Blues jet into Bangkok.
Roberto Martinez wants Everton to deliver a strong performance against Leicester City to thank the Club's Thai supporters for their backing over the last 10 years.
The Blues' fanbase in the Asian country has increased considerably throughout the last decade as a result of the partnership with main sponsor Chang - an association that stretches back to 2004.

And although Martinez acknowledges Sunday is another important stage of pre-season, he also wants his players to entertain those that come to support Everton against the Premier League newcomers.
Speaking at a press conference shortly after arriving at Bangkok airport on Friday, Martinez said: “Our links with Thailand, as everyone knows, have been very close over the 10 years. We have got many, many Thai fans so it’s an opportunity to be here and see if we can get a little bit closer to them.
“We are looking forward to seeing the fans and looking forward to playing football here. Hopefully it will be a great advert for the Premier League.”
Martinez expects an open and attractive clash at the Suphachalasai Stadium between two teams who are keen to get the ball down and play exciting football.
He continued: “What Leicester have done is accumulate a winning mentality over the last two seasons. Their promotion campaign was a really good achievement but this momentum has been built for the last two years.
“You are going to see two teams that want to win the game, will play attacking football and that will hopefully be entertaining for the neutral.”
