Monday’s Daily Mail links Everton with a loan move for Chelsea’s Christian Atsu.

The Ghanaian midfielder, who featured at this summer’s World Cup, is also reported to be interesting Celtic and Aston Villa.

The Mail states that if the Blues were to secure Atsu on a season-long deal, they would then have to sign Romelu Lukaku permanently as they can’t sign two players on loan from one club.

The Daily Express says Everton are ‘closing in’ on youngster Brendan Galloway who has asked to leave MK Dons. It is believed that the League One club will ask for a ‘substantial’ compensation fee.

In the Liverpool Echo, Roberto Martinez has labelled Tim Howard an ‘incredible ambassador’ for Everton following his performances at the World Cup.

Martinez has also hailed the first-team’s pre-season training camp as a success.

A match of Everton Under-21s’ 2-1 friendly defeat to Southport also features in the Echo
