McAleny's Austria Diary
Striker discusses yoga, FIFA 14 & music in his second update.
After our busy day on Tuesday, it was a case of get up and do it all again yesterday.
Yoga and a spinning class kicked things off at 8am and then we had a few hours before a football session at around 11.30am.
In terms of a physical blow-out, it was probably the toughest single session we've had so far – the pace of it was something else.
We did a bit of shooting for the first time as well and obviously I enjoyed that. I scored a couple of decent goals and Garbs put one in the top bin which I think he was pretty pleased with. It was impressive to be fair.
The difference with Tuesday was that after that we were given the rest of the day off to relax.
I took the time as it was intended and didn't do too much. In fact, I played FIFA 14 with the lads pretty much all afternoon! I've heard Matty Kennedy has been telling evertontv I'm the worst of the group. I'll admit, I'm not the best, but Longy apparently plays every night online and I've just beat him 3-2, so I can't be that bad!
I stuck some music on for the lads as well - a bit of Bob Marley and some Sam Cooke. I also played them some stuff by a small rock band from LA called Allah Las. The lads loved a bit of Bob but no-one commented on anything else. I'd definitely recommend them though!
I did let Lunny have a go at one point and he put on a bit of Pink Floyd. He likes a bit of them and I was pretty happy with that.
Thursday we're off for a bike ride. I'm not massively looking forward to pelting it full pace for a whole hour but it's what needs to be done and it'll be good to get out and see some more of the local area.
I'll let you know how it goes.
