German Friendly Confirmed

Everton to face SC Paderborn in Germany on 9 August.

German Friendly Confirmed

Everton will play a pre-season friendly against SC Paderborn on Saturday 9 August.

Roberto Martinez's side will travel to Germany to face the newly-promoted Bundesliga side the weekend before the new Premier League season begins.

Kick-off at the Benteler Arena will be 3pm UK time.

Based in the north-west of the country around 60 miles east of Dortmund, SC Paderborn were formed in 1985 following the merging of two local clubs - although their roots date back to 1907.

They finished as runners-up in the second division of German football last term, earning promotion to the top-flight for the first time in the club's history.

The fixture adds to Everton's first-team summer schedule, which includes a trip to Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday 22 July and the game against Leicester City in Bangkok five days later.

The Blues also entertain FC Porto at Goodison Park on Sunday 3 August - a game which serves as Leon Osman's testimonial.

Tickets for these three games are available to buy now. Click here for information.

Details of Everton's allocation for the match against SC Paderborn will be announced in due course.
