Ledson's New Season Excitement
Midfielder targets another year of progress.
Ryan Ledson enjoyed a fantastic end to the 2013/14 season – and he now can’t wait for the new campaign to begin.
The all-action midfielder impressed for the Club’s Under-21s last term and was rewarded for his accelerated development with a call-up to the first-team in April.
Ledson, just 16 years old, was selected on the bench for Premier League games against Southampton and Manchester City.
He was named Everton’s Academy Player of Season and capped a superb year by skippering England Under-17s to European Championship glory in Malta in May.
After a well-earned break, Ledson is now back in the thick of things at Finch Farm, ready to get to grips with the season that lies ahead.
He has recently returned from the Under-21s’ training camp in Austria and is preparing for the second string’s opening match of pre-season away at Southport this Saturday.
Ahead of the trip to the Merseyrail Community Stadium, Ledson spoke to evertontv about his aims and ambitions for the forthcoming season.
