Jones Praises Goodison Support
Assistant boss talks to evertontv on the pitch at last home game.
Graeme Jones has praised the Goodison faithful after the Blues signed off at home for the season.
A 3-2 defeat to Manchester City wasn't in the plans, but with a return to European football already ensured, Everton's assistant manager believes it is just reward for the Club's supporters.
He told evertontv: "They have been fantastic for the full season. It's a special place and we were just gutted we couldn't get the win.
"I'm proud of the players. It's official now; apart from goal difference, we've finished fifth. It's an improvement on last season, more points than last season so we're satisfied, but we wanted to win our last home game.
"The fans have been magnificent. It's a special atmosphere playing here with 39,000 people every week and there's been a lot of sell-outs so we just need to look forward now."
