Roberto Martinez has told Friday’s Liverpool Echo that Leon Osman can prolong his career at the top level by adapting to a different role.
Osman, who this summer will be granted a testimonial, has featured in every Everton game this season and Martinez says the 32-year-old can go on for another ‘three or four’ years if he is utilised in the correct way.
Phil Jagielka is discussed in the Daily Express and Daily Star, with the paper stating that England doctors will liaise with Everton’s medical team regarding the defender’s hamstring injury.
And speaking to the Daily Mail, Martinez is adamant Jagielka will be fit for the World Cup and that the Blues skipper could be in line for a return to the Everton side for the game against Manchester City on 3 May.
Elsewhere, the Guardian are predicting that Seamus Coleman will be named in the PFA Team of the Year when it is announced at the annual awards evening on Sunday.
