Manager Roberto Martinez has described forward Steven Naismith as Everton's 'find of the season' in Thursday's Liverpool Echo.

The Spaniard speaks of his joy at watching the 27-year-old establish himself as a key player for the Blues, having initially struggled for playing time following his move south of the border from Rangers.

Martinez also tells the same paper that his players must be wary of Southampton's flair and style on Saturday.

The eighth-placed Saints are three games without a win - but the Toffees chief is insistent the notion of having nothing to play for does not exist in the Barclays Premier League.

Elsewhere, the Daily Express and Daily Mail both link Everton with a summer move for Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.

The two papers also claim the Blues will look at Welbeck's Red Devils teammate Tom Cleverley.
