Leon Osman is targeting a second successive away win to keep Everton’s fourth place ambitions alive.

The Toffees followed up two home wins with an impressive 3-0 victory at Newcastle in midweek with a trip to rock bottom Fulham next on the agenda.

The sequence of wins means Everton are in with a chance of reaching the top four, particularly as current incumbents Arsenal still have to travel to Goodison Park.

Osman said: “We had back-to-back wins and we were desperate to make it three in a row to get the points to take us in the direction we want to be going.

“We have got to play some of the teams above us but we are vying for it (the top four) ourselves. We are the outsiders but we have to keep ticking along and see how close we can get.”

Fulham are currently bottom of the table and are on their third manager of the season, with Felix Magath handed the unenviable task of staving off relegation to the Championship.

But Osman says Everton are focussed only on the match itself.

“It is important to keep the momentum going but it’s all about concentrating on the next game,” he added.
