Everton's latest sponsorship deal with Chang will see the Club continue to make a telling impact on local communities in Thailand.

That's the promise of Blues Chief Executive Robert Elstone, who was in Bangkok to announce the three-year agreement on Thursday.

The new link-up, which comes into affect from the start of the 2014/15 campaign, will extend an association that has had a significant positive influence in the East Asian country since it first came into being in 2004.

Throughout the decade of partnership, Everton have helped Chang on a variety of community-driven projects, including the Thai Bev Academy and the Everton-Chang Village.

The former is a free training facility which strives to unearth the best young footballing talents in Bangkok, while the Everton-Chang village saw the erection of 50 new homes and a football pitch in an area devastated by the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004.

Everton also raised one million Thai Baht in aid of the Power of Thai initiative following more horrific flooding in 2011.

And speaking to evertontv, Mr Elstone said: "We go beyond a standard sports marketing partnership. Fans will know how we've sprung to life in times of some pretty terrible tragedies here in Thailand. We've handed out blankets after floods, we've been involved at the time of the terrible tsunami when we rebuilt homes and the pitch at a school which had been devastated by its impact and the ThaiBev Academy is a fantastic facility.

"So there's a real depth to this partnership and I think it's that depth, that range of activity, which has provided the foundations for yet another extension."

The three-year deal is also the most lucrative Everton have ever negotiated and Elstone added: "I really want to make sure that Chang gets the most from its partnership with Everton and, if that happens, they'll be knocking on our door in 18 or 24 months' time looking for another renewal.

"That's the main objective - to make sure that Chang want to come back for an extended deal. Our challenge is to make sure that this deal is even more valuable to them in the way it has been for us.

"There are aspects of what Everton does, particularly around our community in Liverpool and across Merseyside, that I'd love to see them bring over here to Thailand, and that's something we'll certainly encourage them to do."
