Rom: Let's Keep Fortress Goodison
Blues fear no-one at home, insists Belgian hitman.
Romelu Lukaku has urged Everton to exhibit a ruthless edge when relegation-threatened Cardiff City arrive at Goodison Park.
The Welsh outfit visit Merseyside on Saturday on the back of a morale-boosting 3-1 win over fellow strugglers Fulham.
But Lukaku, who has two goals in two games since returning from injury, insisted any Bluebirds resurgence must swiftly be nipped in the bud.
“We are hungry, so let them come,” he declared. “They are coming to Goodison and we are not scared of anything. They are coming to us, they have a good team and a good up-and-coming manager. But we have to dictate the play and we have the players to do it.”
Everton’s last home game saw West Ham’s rampaging run of form unceremoniously halted and Lukaku says the Blues fear no-one on home soil.
He continued: “I don’t think we should be scared. Anyone can lose against anyone in the Premier League but when you are at home, with the players and the potential we have, you don’t have to be scared. We just have to go and be clinical.”
