Gallery: A Year Of Highlights

It's been a momentous year for Everton in the Community.

The Club charity celebrated its 25th anniversary and set about a mammoth task to raise £1million to help them continue improving the lives of vulnerable and underprivileged people across the region of Merseyside and beyond.

The first-team players lent their support to continually help promote the great number of initiatives supported and ran by Everton in the Community and above are a selection of highlights from 12 months of efforts that will reap rewards for years and years to come.

-------------------------

Established in 1988, Everton in the Community is the official charity of Everton Football Club.

Over the last 25 years, Everton in the Community has grown to be one of the most well-respected and pioneering sporting charities in the UK. It has been at the forefront of challenging health and social issues, including anti-social behaviour, disability, mental health and education.

Everton in the Community coaches, employees and volunteers work seven days a week to support their local community. In the last year alone, the charity has reached out to 30,000 participants across all programmes, contributing to a 55 per cent reduction in anti-social behaviour and a 79 per cent reduction in crime in challenging areas, gaining approval to open a Free School to improve the life chances of local young people and introducing an innovative mental health programme to support our ex-service personnel.
